Three Project Acceleration students will have their artwork on display at the upcoming Walsh Gallery exhibit.The Seton Hall event is being run in conjunction with Cicely Tyson School of Performing & Fine Arts and the East Orange Board of Education.
The students participating include: Taheera Cochran, a senior, and a first place winner in the Congressional Art competition, who has had her works displayed at the Newark Museum and NJPAC; Juniors Denzel Henderson and Tiara Crawford have also had their work displayed at the Newark Museum.
Each of these students is enrolled in Seton Hall’s Project Acceleration program through their Advanced Placement (AP) Studio Art class. As members of the Project Acceleration program, these students earn college credits while still attending high school. Classes are taught on high school property by Seton Hall approved teachers. Subjects can range from Art and Music to Math, History, Religion, Political Science, Literature or Foreign Languages.
