The School of Health and Medical Sciences (formally The School of Graduate Medical Education) launched its first inaugural magazine, Insights, in Fall 2005. The idea for the magazine was to keep alumni, current students, parents, faculty and staff abreast of the latest happenings within the School. Since the inaugural magazine, a new issue is launched each Fall at the beginning of the school year with a specific theme relative to different areas of the School. Brian B. Shulman, Ph.D., Dean, best describes the onset for the magazine: "Insights will focus on you, our alumni, and on service learning both of which represent so much of who and what we are about as health care professionals. It's not only the art of what we do in our chosen profession that makes a difference in the lives of those we serve; it is also the caring we exhibit to those we serve on a daily basis." Enjoy Insights online and send us your current contact information and/or news to Ms. Deborah Verderosa at verderde@shu.edu or phone (973) 275-2062.
