Ann Marie Murphy Receives Smith Richardson Foundation Grant

Dr. Ann Marie Murphy, Assistant Professor at the Whitehead School of Diplomacy & International Relations, has been awarded a $60,000 research grant from the Smith Richardson Foundation. Dr. Murphy's research project, “Democratization and Indonesian Foreign Policy: Implications for the United States” examines the impact of Indonesia's transition to democracy on the country's foreign policy-making process, the content of Indonesian foreign policy, and the implications for the United States. The grant will fund a series of research trips to Indonesia and supports research opportunities for scholarly publications. The Smith Richardson Foundation is one of the leading funding providers of scholarly work on issues of interest to the U.S. policy community.
