The Whitehead School of Diplomacy and
International Relations is pleased to present Judge William S.
Sessions, former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation on
Tuesday, April 14 at 4 p.m. in Chancellor's Suite, University
Center.
Judge Sessions will be interviewed by his former colleague
Ambassador John Menzies, Dean of the Whitehead School, and topics will
include Judge Sessions' distinguished public-service career, his
assessment on the most pressing legal and constitutional issues
confronting America today, as well as recent advances in security
technologies. Time will be allocated for students to ask questions
following the conversation.
Judge Sessions was nominated as FBI Director by Ronald Regan in 1987,
and he held that post until 1993. Prior to his career at the FBI,
William Sessions was appointed United States District Judge for the
Western District of Texas and served as the Chief Judge of that court.
Presently, he is a partner at the Washington, D.C. firm Holland and
Knight engaged primarily in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
procedures.
