Charles Franke Memorial Lecture about Bell Labs on March 27

GehaniThe Department of Mathematics and Computer Science sponsors its annual Charles Franke Memorial Lecture on Friday, March 27. The speaker for this year's lecture is Narain Gehani, Ph.D., chairman of the Department of Computer Science at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
 
After receiving his Ph.D .from Cornell University, Dr. Gehani worked at Bell Labs for 23 years. In addition to his work as a developer of software systems, he is the author Bell Labs, Life in the Crown Jewel, an engaging history of research culture that may be gone forever. 
 
This lecture is free and open to the Seton Hall community. It will take place at 1p.m. in Arts and Sciences Hall Room 106.
