Bringing Peace to Iraq through Interfaith Dialogue

David Little, a
professor at the Harvard Divinity School, will be speaking at the
Whitehead School's event on April 1st.

A delegation of nine Imams and mayors from Iraq have been invited to
the United States under the auspices of the Department of State's
International Visitor Leadership Program. The Whitehead School of
Diplomacy and International Relations at Seton Hall University has the
distinct honor of being one of only two institutions of higher
education the delegation will visit on its tour.
While on campus on Wednesday, April 1, the delegation will
meet with renowned practitioners and scholars to examine the separation
of church and state; the core values of individual freedom of
conviction, expression and worship in U.S. society; the role of
faith-based organizations and ecumenical groups in American civic and
community life; and the importance of dialogue among various faith
groups within a community.
Two panel discussions have been scheduled to address these goals.
The discussions are open to faculty, students, and staff.
