London BridgeAttention Students Interested in Doing Internships in England!

In November, 2008 the United Kingdom formally launched a new visa points system which will come into effect in April, 2009. The changes announced have removed the ability for US students or graduates to take on full time work or internship programs in the UK. The new system requires those wishing to take internships to combine this experience with an accredited, academic course program and to be sponsored for a tier 4 pre-entry clearance visa through a UK-approved educational institution. Global Experiences has been focused on these changes for the past year and in December, 2008 we responded by creating a fully compliant professional internship program for US citizens in London.

We are pleased to be offering three start dates in 2009: June 5th, July 10th and September 4th. All participants on these programs will travel to the UK on the tier 4 study visa. No organization offering internship programs in London or the UK will be able to offer a full time or 40 hour a week internship program for US citizen and remain within the new visa regulations. Global Experiences is excited to have developed a program which keeps the focus on the great professional experience to be gained from an internship program while meeting the regulations of the new UK visa system. Global Experiences has provided hundreds of young Americans the chance for international work experience through professional internships in London in all fields and looks forward to another successful year in 2009.
