Hall University will host the 12th Annual Graduate Student and School
Teacher Symposium on Japanese Studies on Friday, April 3, 2009.
The symposium provides an interdisciplinary forum for the exchange of
ideas and the discussion of ongoing research in the field of Japanese
Studies.
The Department of Asian Studies welcomes a variety of disciplines
within the humanities and social sciences to participate in this
symposium. Anyone interested in presenting a paper should submit an
original one-page proposal including name, institutional affiliation,
address, e-mail, and phone number. Proposals should be postmarked on or
before February 15, 2009. All presentations will be published in the
Symposium Proceedings. Presenters should be prepared to speak for no
more than 20 minutes and their paper should be 15-20 pages in length.
Attendance at the Symposium by all interested graduate students and
teachers from various institutions is welcome and encouraged. A limited
travel fund is available.
