Hall University Gospel Choir, under the direction of Reverend Forrest
Pritchett, will raise the roof in celebration of Black History Month on
Sunday, February 1, 2009 at a 2:00 PM matinee performance. Tickets may
be purchased by contacting the SOPAC Box Office at (973)
313-2787. Regular admission is $10; seniors, students and Seton Hall
faculty and alumni tickets are $5.
The Gospel Choir has a 36-year history at Seton Hall. For nearly half
of that time, the Choir has performed under the direction of Reverend
Forrest Pritchett, a faculty member at Seton Hall. Under his direction,
the Choir offers ministry in song, movement arts, spoken word and
instrumental performance. The Choir boasts up to 60 student members and
offers motivational and spiritual workshops to community churches and
organizations. The Choir actively participates with the community and
has performed in homeless shelters, community centers, schools and area
colleges. The Gospel Choir productions are conceived, produced and
directed by Seton Hall students.
