The Occupational Therapy Students Association (SOTA)
decided to "adopt-a-family" through the Ronald McDonald House of
Charities. The family chosen was in need of some items for their
children and SOTA worked with them to seek donations. One son was
diagnosed with Autism and a costly computer program was
needed.
The 1st and 3rd year OT students, with support from friends and
families, raised a total of $266 and purchased gifts for the family.
The remainder of the money was combined with a personal contribution
from SOTA and the family was presented with a $322 check.
A special thanks to SOTA for coming up with the wonderful idea of
contacting the Ronald McDonald House of Charities and for giving a very
happy holiday season to this special family.
