R.I.S.E Gen 1 Program

Welcome!

The R.I.S.E Gen 1 Program serves all first-generation students on their collegiate journey. The Gen 1 program provides academic support to first-generation, Pell-eligible students through an interactive, comprehensive, and multi- interventional plan that assesses student needs, monitors academic performance, and provides increased and focused tutoring, advising, mentoring, supplemental instruction, and financial support.

Peer Mentoring 

The Gen 1 Peer Mentoring Program aims to promote and improve belonging and inclusion, academic success, and graduation through one-on-one interactions and group mentoring. Click here to learn more »


Gen 1 Summer Program

The Gen 1 Summer program (June 24, 2024 – July 12, 2024) is a three-week virtual summer institute that requires the participation of all accepted Gen 1 students.  The program allows the incoming Gen 1 class to earn up to four credits applicable to their program of study. Click here to learn more »
