SHU 500+ Service Projects

Join Seton Hall students, alumni, employees and friends at one of our two dozen service project sites in Essex and Union counties. Explore below a few of the service projects offered.

Carnival of Fun
Held annually for people with special needs, the Carnival of Fun is one of the service projects offered at SHU 500+. Volunteers for the Carnival of Fun will coordinate and organize a variety of carnival games, as well as face painting and food booths, at the University Center on Seton Hall’s campus. A popular event, the Carnival will feature a DJ, who will provide musical entertainment for our special-needs guests and SHU 500+ volunteers.

Community Food Bank
For this community service project, approximately 150 SHU 500+ volunteers will be bused to the Community Food Bank in Hillside to help sort food for the needy. The Community Food Bank provides more than 20 million pounds of food annually to 1,500 charitable organizations working to feed the hungry throughout the state. In addition to food, the Food Bank provides an array of training, community building, and educational programs.

Additional Service Projects
The service projects don’t stop there!
