Ever Forward Exceeds $150 Million

Seton Hall’s Ever Forward campaign raised $152 million, more than two weeks in advance of our targeted closing date of December 31, 2007.

The most ambitious fundraising initiative in Seton Hall's history, Ever Forward raised more than two and a half times the total of the University's two previous campaigns combined.  More important, achieving the campaign's financial goal enabled Seton Hall to implement a bold vision to transform the campus into a 21st century environment conducive to learning.  From new facilities and programs to improved environments and relationships, Ever Forward has positioned Seton Hall to continue on a path of excellence.

With campaign support, Seton Hall:

  • Dramatically increased our endowment, providing $40.1 million for scholarships, professorships and University programs.

  • Boosted scholarships, financial aid and program support through the combined annual funds (University, Seminary, Pirate Blue and Law).

  • Built a new $35 million Science and Technology Center.

  • Renovated our campus landmarks, including the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception.

  • Began renovating the University Center to provide a welcoming space that brings the Seton Hall community together.

  • Will build a new home for the John C. Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations, establishing an international presence on campus.

  • Strengthened its Catholic character by establishing the Center for Catholic Studies and the Center for Vocation and Servant Leadership.

  • Established two landmark cultural centers: the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute and the Charles and Joan Alberto Italian Studies Institute, and two endowed professorships: the Cooperman-Ross Chair in Jewish-Christian Studies, in honor of Sister Rose Thering, and the LaMotta Endowed Professorship in Italian Studies.

The benefits of the Ever Forward campaign extend well beyond the campus.  Seton Hall is consistently ranked among the top Catholic universities in the nation.  The University continues to strengthen and build new relationships with government, industry and non-profit organizations, relationships that translate into internships for Seton Hall students and later professional opportunities for our graduates.
