  • American Literature I and II fulfill 6 credits of the A&S core curriculum Humanities requirement.
  • General electives may also be used to pursue a second major or minor.
  • Check the list of English electives that also count for Core III; it is posted in the English Majors Bb course shell.
  • Students who are planning to graduate with English Honors must take two additional advanced electives. These should be taken in the senior year in place of General Electives.
  • Student planning to pursue the BA/MA should not take advanced electives until after meeting with the Department Chairperson or Director of Graduate Studies.
