Counseling Programs Top Ranked For 2017  

A Seton Hall student who studies in one of the counseling programs that has been ranked by among the ten best in the nation for 2017.

Using "a three-pronged measure of a school's academic quality, affordability & student experience," has ranked Seton Hall's online Master's in Professional Counseling and online Master's in School Counseling programs among the ten best in the nation for 2017. This is the second consecutive year that the online Master's in School Counseling has achieved this ranking.

To configure its rankings, uses "compiled information collected from IPEDS and the College Navigator, both of which are hosted on the National Center for Education Statistics platform."

Both programs are offered through Seton Hall University's College of Education and Human Services (APA, COAMFTE, and NCATE accredited) which prepares competent, socially conscious and reflective counselors for work in ethnically, geographically and socially diverse settings.

Seton Hall University's online Professional Counseling program is a combined, 60-credit, Master's and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) program consisting of 20, three-credit courses spread over 10 semesters. The program also requires two on-site residencies, which afford you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with professors and your peers in the program.

The M.A. in School Counseling is a 48-credit program consisting of foundation, counseling and clinical courses culminating in a school counselor internship and is approved by the New Jersey Department of Education, meeting its credentialing requirements.
