Graduate Programs


  • M.A. in Diplomacy and International Relations
    Candidates customize this program through 13 available specializations and develop a niche professional profile in preparation for diverse career paths in the public, private and/or non-profit sectors.  On-campus or hybrid; 2 years as full-time (part-time available)

  • Executive M.S. in International Affairs
    This accelerated, flexible program trains globally-minded professionals to build on their existing expertise with advanced skills, including: effective negotiation, policy influencing strategy and specialized research in 13 areas.  On-campus or hybrid; 1-year as full-time (part-time also available); requires 7 years of work experience

  • Online Executive M.S. in International Affairs
    This accelerated, exclusively online program trains globally-minded professionals to build on their existing expertise with advanced skills, including: effective negotiation, policy influencing strategy and specialized research in 6 areas.  Online; 1-year as full-time (part-time also available); requires 7 years of work experience

  • Online Executive M.S. in International Affairs and Diplomatic Practice/UNITAR
    Designed for mid-career professionals who seek to develop additional skills or credentials to move ahead in their careers. This flexible, online program is offered in partnership with United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) , and focuses on international security, policy analysis, negotiation and conflict management and monitoring and evaluation.

Dual Degree Programs


  • J.D./M.A., Law and Diplomacy
    The School of Diplomacy and Seton Hall School of Law offer a joint degree program leading to the degrees of Master of Arts in Diplomacy and International Relations and Juris Doctor.

  • M.P.A. / M.A., Diplomacy and International Relations
    In collaboration with the College of Arts and Sciences, this dual degree program equips professionals to respond to the challenges of public sector administration in a global environment. The program can be completed in 60 credits.

  • M.B.A. / M.A., Diplomacy and International Relations
    Students earn a dual degree from both the School of Diplomacy and the Stillman School of Business. This program provides a unique combination of detailed business training and a thorough understanding of international policy issues.

  • M.A., Communication / M.A., Diplomacy and International Relations
    This joint degree program with the College ofHuman Development, Culture, and Media prepares professionals to meet the challenges of corporate and public communication in an increasingly complex global environment.
