Faculty
Faculty at Seton Hall can avail of CCRE assistance in incorporating service learning into their courses through or SHELLS program. Alternately, you can apply for a community- based research fellowship.

Core Curriculum
CCRE coordinates the service learning lab component of the freshman core curriculum. Last year, faculty teaching 10 sections of the Core teamed with CCRE to design a service component to their course, in which students engage is tutoring and mentoring as one of our community sites. Sites are generally, but are not limited to, public schools and nonprofit organizations who strive for access to quality service. Email Dr. Roseanne Mirabella, at roseanne.mirabella@shu.edu for details.

Community Based Research (CBR)
The Center for Community Research and Engagement (CCRE) is pleased to announce fellowships for faculty in the area of community-based research.  This type of research involves scholarly engagement in the community that is aggressively linked with teaching and service. Community-based research responds to community-defined needs and issues with current knowledge and plans for action. Contact Timothy Hoffman, at timothy.hoffman@shu.edu for details.

Service Learning Course Tools on Blackboard
CCRE has designed a service learning course template on Blackboard, providing faculty with an array of information, work pages, discussion board content and assignments. Contact Timothy Hoffman, at timothy.hoffman@shu.edu for details.
