Bernard J. Lonergan Institute

Program

The Bernard J. Lonergan Institute sponsors scholarship, lectures, programs and conferences centered around Lonergan’s work.  Topics will include:

  • Theology:  grace, the Trinity, Jesus Christ
  • Interdisciplinary philosophy:  including consciousness studies,  the philosophy of history, art, education, science and economics
  • Economics:  with a special emphasis on the connection to G.K. Chesterton’s philosophy of Distributism and related work of the G.K. Chesterton Institute of  Faith & Culture,  the Micah Senior Executive Project, and the Institute on Work.

  • Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, 2009 - "Forging a New Economic Paradigm: Perspectives from Bernard Lonergan, An International Summit Conference".  Join us for an eye-opening international summit conference on economics, which will convene experts from the business community, academia and other fields to examine the writings and theories of renowned philosopher and theologian Bernard J.
