This program, which requires a semester commitment, works with the local immigrants of South Orange.  Many new residents are taking English classes in order to prepare for citizenship exams and for employment purposes.  The class is run by a full time coordinator who is a part of the Campus Ministry staff.  Lesson plans are prepared in advance for the group.  Volunteers need not be fluent in another language  - basic conversation and some reading material are discussed between paired volunteers and students.
