Alicia Heesen is a senior Biology major who has had career enhancing internship opportunities with Pfizer. In 2016, she worked as a Global Technical Services Intern, supporting the China Collective Program through project integration, planning, and communication. As a summer intern, Alicia worked alongside Senior Management Executives across the organization (Drug Substance, Drug Product, and Analytical teams) to develop a Clinical Trial Authorization submission plan. Alicia also assembled monthly reports and supported program design and planning.
In 2017, Alicia took on a new role at Pfizer as an intern on the Analytical Transfer team, assisting the team with preparation of qualification documents that will ultimately be used in the quality testing of oncology products manufactured at its new biologic manufacturing center.
"Throughout my internships, I have learned a lot about myself. I have become efficient when using technology, I am a quick learner, I enjoy working with people, and I have a strong work ethic. Based on my skills and personality, I am looking into pharmaceutical marketing, sales, and consulting. Having the biology background to understand how these pharmaceutical products will be very helpful."
In addition to interning at Pfizer, Alicia is currently a captain on the Seton Hall Women's Club soccer team, works on the "Blue Crew" admissions ambassador team, and serves as a Rotation Leader in recruitment for the Alpha Omicron Pi chapter at Seton Hall.
