Recently The Huffington Post listed the "16 Books Aspiring Women Leaders Need to Be Reading." A Woman's Guide to Successful Negotiating, co-authored by Lee Miller, adjunct professor in the Stillman School of Business, made the list. The book is in good company: Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg; Nice Girls Nice Girls Don't Get the Corner Office by Lois Frankel; and How to Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie are also among those selected.
Miller, who teaches Influencing and Negotiating, Managerial Decision
Making, and Human Resources Management in the Stillman School's MBA
program, co-authored the book with his daughter, Jessica Miller. Jessica
is a former investment banker and now applies her negotiation skills as
a commercial real estate broker.
Lee Miller is a Harvard Law School graduate with extensive experience as a human resources and leadership consultant, strategic adviser, speaker, executive/ career coach and corporate trainer. Currently, he is the principal for HELIX Innovation Network. In addition to teaching in the MBA Program at Seton Hall, he is also an adjunct professor at Columbia University
Drawing on knowledge and extensive experience as a senior-level professional in human resources, Miller writes a career column for The Star-Ledger, is a Wall Street Journal online contributor and has appeared on “Good Morning America,” “The Early Show,” “Today New York,” “Fox and Friends,” “Economy Watch” and “Morning Edition.”
In addition to this latest accolade from The Huffington Post, A Woman's Guide to Successful Negotiating was selected by Atlanta Woman magazine as one of the 50 best books for professional women and by “Good Morning America” as a featured book. Other books written by Miller include UP: Influence, Power and the U Perspective: The Art of Getting What You Want.
