Overview

Grammar Workshop for Professionals is a comprehensive refresher to update your knowledge and precise usage of grammar with the goal of enhancing your writing.

Program Description

As a participant, you are invited to bring a few documents with grammar questions that you have to class.During this one-day workshop, creative lessons will transform complicated and common grammar problems into clear, coherent writing solutions. We will move beyond the rules of grammar and get creative with effective word choice and usage. Every professional wants to reach out and be heard. Give your writing--and your professionalism--a tune-up with this fast-paced workshop!

Topics Covered

  • Parts of speech and their usage: nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, participles.
  • Subject-verb agreement.
  • Sentence structure: avoiding run-ons and fragments; using clauses, phrases accurately.
  • Word usage.
  • Punctuation: comma, semi-colon, colon, period usage.
  • Editing, proofreading and polishing your writing for grammatical usage and style.
