Judaism and Other Religions: Models of Understanding

NY: Palgrave-Mcmillan, 2010

Judaism and Other Religions- Models of Understanding Rabbi Alan Brill, Ph.D.
Department of Religion

Traditional Jewish approaches to other religions for an age of globalization are outlined. A fresh perspective on Biblical and Rabbinic texts, offering new ways of thinking about other faiths is provided. In the majority of volume, Brill develops the categories of theology of religions for Jewish texts, and arranges the texts according to classification widely used in interfaith work: inclusivist, exclusivist, universalist and pluralist.
