Bisexuality as a Category in Social Research:  Lessons from Women's Gendered Narratives

Bisexual and lesbian women are often combined in social scientific studies, resulting in potential loss or distortion of knowledge. After a brief survey of theoretical debates for treating or dismissing bisexuality as a separate research category, I analyze the gendered narratives of a small group of heterosexual, bisexual, and lesbian women.
