Bruce Freeman is an expert on entrepreneurship and small business.
Nationally known as The Small Business Professor®, Bruce Freeman is a syndicated small business columnist for McClatchy-Tribune News Service (MCT). His column, The Small Business Professor, is now distributed to over 1200 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada. Prior to MCT, Bruce wrote his column for Scripps Howard News Service with a distribution of 300 newspapers. In 2006, Bruce received the journalist of the year award (NJ) from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Bruce is co-author of the book, Birthing the Elephant, Ten Speed Press a division of Random House Inc. Bruce also hosted a regular radio program on the Smallbiz America Radio Network.
A successful entrepreneur, he founded Proline Communications providing marketing and public relations services (est 1991). Bruce Freeman has been quoted by The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, Reuters and US News & World Report. In addition, he has spoken at, UPenn/Wharton, National Association of Women Business Owners (Louisville KY), Spalding University, Milburn-Short Hills Chamber of Commerce and the New Jersey Association of Woman Business Owners (NJAWBO). He was recently selected to be small business spokesperson for Brother International (2011).
Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Bruce was Director of Operations for PC Magazine’s product testing lab (Ziff Davis Publishing). He recently presented "The Entrepreneurial Mind" for the Wharton Technology Club at the University of Pennsylvania. View the video »
