Dr. Galehouse is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing Mental Health Nursing.

Pamela Galehouse is an Associate Professor of Nursing at Seton Hall University where she is a member of the Graduate Department. She is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child & Adolescent Psychiatric Nursing Mental Health Nursing with over 30 years of experience in clinical practice and education. Prior to coming to Seton Hall University, Dr. Galehouse spent over 10 years participating in prevention intervention research aimed at preventing mental disorders in children at New York University, both in the Steinhardt College of Culture, Education and Human Development and the College of Medicine's Child Study Center. She also provided mental health services to school children as the coordinator of the family center at the first nurse-managed school based health clinical in New York State, and as a member of St. Vincent's Hospital's post-9/11 Project Liberty team. Dr. Galehouse is a member of the International Society of Psychiatric Nurses (ISPN), the American Nurses Association, the Eastern Nurses Research Society, Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI) and the Society for Prevention Science. A quantitative researcher, her research interests include primary prevention intervention strategies, temperament and self-regulation as impacting mental health and development, and vulnerable families. She serves as a manuscript reviewer for 3 professional journals and is a contributor to a new textbook titled Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health: A Resource for Advanced Practice Psychiatric and Primary Care Practitioners in Nursing, which was published by Wiley-Blackwell in spring 2012.
