Dr. McCarthy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and teaches courses in Sport Marketing.
Hired in 1999, Dr. McCarthy is an Associate Professor in the
Department of Management. He currently teaches graduate and
undergraduate courses in Sport Marketing, undergraduate International
Sport Management, and has taught Principles of Marketing, as well as
Introduction to the Sport Industry. His research, which is
predominantly disciplined-based in nature, focuses on sport marketing
and has appeared in the Journal of Sport Management, Sport Marketing
Quarterly and the European Journal of Sport Management. He has
also led a number of overseas courses such as Doing Business in Italy
and Doing Business in Ireland. He is currently Director of the
Institute of International Business.
