Oversee a curriculum that challenges students to get the most out of their didactic and clinical education.
Profile
I have been a Physician Assistant since 1981 and practiced clinically in the areas of general surgery and pediatrics. I have been in PA education for over 18 years, having worked at three different PA programs. I have been with the Seton Hall University PA Program since its inception. In addition to my academic and clinical experience, I have worked in clinical drug research and have been involved in research projects involving major pharmaceutical products.
My primary responsibilities are the administrative duties associated with the department. In addition, I am a co-instructor in the Introduction to Clinical Medicine I course. I also participate in the Research Methods courses as a faculty advisor for student research projects. My research interest lies in the area of gender-related differences associated with the PA workforce. I am in the last stages of my dissertation project, which is entitled "Lifestyle Choices and Practice Characteristics of Men and Women Physician Assistants and the Relationship to Career Satisfaction".
I thoroughly enjoy working with students and I admire their unbridled enthusiasm. Working with my dedicated PA faculty, we developed a challenging curriculum that requires our students to work very hard during their time here at Seton Hall University. We know that because of this hard work and dedication our graduates become well-respected clinicians in the healthcare community.
