Carroll Rawn

Carroll D. Rawn, Ph.D.

Associate Professor

Department of Biological Sciences

Dr. Rawn studies metabolism and fungi because of the countless interesting applications of both.

Since 1978 I have taught a variety of biology courses, from introductory ones for majors and non-majors to graduate mycology and metabolism. In addition to undergraduate advising I have served as Graduate Advisor for the M.S. Microbiology program and as Director of Graduate Studies for my department.

Beyond a broad interest in fungi, I study (i) the metabolism and asexual reproduction of the plant pathogen, Sclerotium rolfsii, and
(ii) effects of some mycotoxins on target fungi.
