Father Albano specializes in Systematic Theology and Continental Philosophy of Religion.

Profile

Upon completion of his academic formation, Peter Albano was ordained a priest of the Roman Catholic tradition in the Congregation of the Mission, a religious community founded by Vincent de Paul to preach the Gospel to the poor and educate candidates for ministry in the Church.

Father Albano received his Masters in Theology from Union Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Philosophy from Claremont Graduate University. He has undertaken post-doctoral studies in Developmental and Clinical Psychology and Philosophy of Education at Teachers College, Columbia University.

Father Albano has taught a diversity of courses in multiple universities and seminaries. He has specialized in Systematic Theology and Continental Philosophy of Religion. He has situated himself on the interdisciplinary boundary between religion and the physical and humanistic sciences. He is devoted to drama, cinema, theatre, music and the arts.

Father Albano has published a critical work on Paul Ricoeur, Freedom, Truth and Hope, and is presently engaged in a work on Jacques Derrida, Education, Deconstruction and Human Flourishing.
