Mary F. Ruzicka, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Educational Studies.

Mary F. Ruzicka, Ph. D. is a tenured full professor in the College of Education and Human Services who has served as faculty at Seton Hall University for over 25 years. She has taught courses in all areas of psychology and education, and holds licensure as a psychologist in NJ as well as certification in Guidance Counseling and in the teaching of Social Studies (K-12).

Active in university governance and in workshops to the outside community, she has received many academic awards and appointments. She is also well published. Her current works in progress include a book on the psychological development of gifted adolescents and a book on nurses who worked in MASH units in the Korean Conflict. In addition to her professorial duties, Dr. Ruzicka has served as mentor to doctoral dissertations since 1980 at Seton Hall University, Drew University and Fairleigh Dickinson University. She has done extensive pro bono work for the Catholic Church locally and nationally.

She has served in many administrative positions at Seton Hall University and has recently completed directing a four year university-wide ethics/values audit called the Bayley Project.

Along with her other responsibilities, she currently serves as the Director of the Institutional Review Board which oversees the ethical standards of research with human subjects.
