Professor Zakhem does research and private industry training and consulting in business and professional ethics.
Professor Zakhem's teaching and research interests are in business and professional ethics, organizational management, and ethical theory. Dr. Zakhem’s most recent publication is the book Managing for Organizational-Ethical Integrity: Principles and Processes for Promoting Good, Right, and Virtuous Conduct (Business Expert Press, 2012). This work reflects Dr. Zakhem’s academic expertise in ethical theory and his significant professional experience as an executive manager and management consultant. Other publications include "E-Business Goes Mobile: A Fiduciary Framework for Regulating Mobile Location Based Services," Ethical Issues in E-Business (IGI Global) 2010, "Stakeholder Management Capability: A Discourse-Theoretical Approach," Journal of Business Ethics 79(4) 2008, and Stakeholder Management Theory: Essential Readings in Ethical Leadership and Management, w/Palmer and Stoll (Prometheus Books, 2008). Dr. Zakhem’s most recent project endeavors to critically relate the work of Søren Kierkegaard to current workplace spirituality initiatives.
