This program is designed for certified school nurses holding a baccalaureate nursing degree, who can earn an M.S.N. in as few as 25 credits.
Premised on the conviction that the school nurse plays a significant role both in the school and in the community as a health care provider, the curriculum centers on the areas most relevant to school health, school nursing and healthcare.
This program is offered as a hybrid model, some classes are online and those that are offered at the College of Nursing in South Orange, New Jersey, will be in late afternoons/evenings on a full-time or part-time basis.
Who Should Apply?
Individuals who have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and
are interested in school nursing as a career. Students who already have
a school nurse certificate will receive credit toward their MSN.
Students who don’t already have a certificate can earn one as they
pursue their Master’s of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
