When will you make a decision on my application?

Applications are considered on a rolling basis when all necessary materials have been received by the graduate nursing department. If you would like to check on the status of your application please call the graduate admissions secretary at (973) 761-9583.

Additional Required Documents
The required materials needed for an application to be considered are:

  • Two letters of recommendation from instructors, supervisors or professional colleagues, with a minimum of a master’s degree in nursing, who are qualified to evaluate your professional nursing experience, academic competence and potential to undertake a master’s-level degree.

These should be completed in confidence by your chosen reference provider and sealed inside an envelope before being returned to you. Your reference provider should sign the back of the envelope (over the seal) as evidence that it has not been opened.

You must collect both references and submit them at the same time as other supporting information by mail to the College of Nursing at the address above.

  • Transcripts covering all academic work completed to date. They may be obtained b contacting the Registrar’s Office at each college or university you have attended.

Transcripts that are stamped ‘issued to student’ but remain in sealed envelopes are considered official by the College of Nursing. We do not accept transcripts sent directly from other institutions nor do we accept transfer credits listed on another school’s transcript.

You must collect all of your transcripts and submit them at the same time as other supporting information directly to the College of Nursing by mail at the address above.
