New Online Certificate Program: Healthcare delivery is becoming increasingly smarter, with data driving decisions at all levels. There is an urgent need in the workforce for healthcare managers who can address the industry’s challenges with a strong and strategic population health management approach.
Seton Hall’s 15-credit Graduate Certificate in Population Health Management provides a comprehensive review of current population health approaches, strategies and tactics designed to improve consumers’ access and quality of care while managing costs. In this intensive certificate program – offered online and taught by the same faculty of the University’s CAHME-accredited MHA degree program – you will develop highly desirable population health management business skills, practice applications using data analytics and patient engagement strategies, and prepare for implementing a culture of wellness.

“Data Analytics for Health Sector Managers” and “21st Century Healthcare Systems” are among the required and elective course offerings in the 15-credit Graduate Certificate in Population Health Management program, which is offered entirely online with an optional in-person Residency experience.

Students admitted to this certificate program may elect to apply their coursework toward the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree (online or on-campus), should they desire to pursue the full, 42-credit degree.
Applicants for the Graduate Certificate in Population Health Management must meet the same admission requirements as those that are in place for the Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) degree.

Current students and recent graduates of the Seton Hall Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program may be able to apply earned credits toward the Graduate Certificate in Population Health Management.
- Current students in good academic standing may be able to apply 3 credits of their coursework toward the certificate, pending approval by the School of Health and Medical Sciences.
- Recent graduates (within 5 years) may be able to apply 3 credits of their coursework toward the certificate, pending approval by the School of Health and Medical Sciences.
