General Approach
The small size of the Ph.D. program in Higher Education Leadership, Management and Policy at Seton Hall University allows for frequent faculty interaction and close work with your adviser. We are committed to maintaining a small, selective and focused program that will prepare our graduates to pursue careers as top-level administrative, research, policy or teaching careers in higher education or governmental agencies in the United States and abroad. Study is available on either full or part-time basis.

Matriculation
Doctoral students will be considered for matriculation after completing 18 core course credits and by demonstrating competence in the core courses by successfully passing a qualifying written examination. The core courses are:
