How Do I Apply?
To request a printed application, please e-mail educate@shu.edu and refer to the EPIC Program.
There is no application fee.
Application Deadlines
There is a rolling admission up to May 15th. For entry into the program after that date, please contact Beverly Kroeger at (973) 761-9390 to see if there is a placement still available.
When Will You Make a Decision on My Application?
A decision regarding admission will be made within 2 weeks of receiving your application and all other required materials.
Additional Required Documents
- Application essay
- 3 letters of recommendation from people familiar with your character, interests and academic ability, including:

- 1 letter from an advisor or professor
- 1 letter from a member of the clergy
- 1 letter from a peer or job supervisor
- Official transcript from each college or university attended
- Official test scores from the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), preferred, or Graduate Record Examination (GRE).
- List of extracurricular activities, work experience or an updated resume
- Waiver and release form (see application packet)
- Additional information about yourself (see application packet)
- Your photo, optional
Admissions Criteria and Prerequisites
The EPICS program is available for individuals who will teach in K-12 Catholic schools and participate in spiritual and ethical development activities while also enrolled in a master's program. Community housing is available.
Work experience in field related to educational administration
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or equivalent
