Associate School Library Media Specialist (ASLMS) Certificate
Candidates in the M.A., School Library Media Specialist (SLMS) program may apply for an Associate School Library Media Specialist (ASLMS) Certificate after they have completed the appropriate sequence listed below. ASLMS’s are eligible for full employment as school library media specialists while they complete their MA degree.
The ASLMS certificate program contains two tracks:- Track 1 - 18 credits for candidates with a standard NJ instructional certificate
- Track 2 - 27 credits for candidates without a standard NJ instructional certificate
Both tracks utilize required courses from our M.A., SLMS program (18 credits).
Track 1: ASLMS Candidates with a Standard New Jersey Instructional Certificate (18 Credits)
