His specialty is in international finance and trade. Dr. Yoon teaches international finance at both undergraduate and MBA levels and a course in global business at the undergraduate level. His research has been widely recognized, achieving some of the largest number of downloads from the Social Science Research Network. He also received a “Bright Idea Award” for compensating balances in finance. His commentaries on global financial and other issues are often published in major newspapers, including The Financial Times, The Economist, The Japan Economic Journal, The Korea Herald, and The Newsweek. For eight years, 1998-2006, Dr. Yoon served as a senior special fellow and/or academic advisor of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research for a program designed to train diplomats and other senior governmental officials of the member states of the U.N. on global economy and finance.
