Theta Alpha Kappa: The National Honor Society for Religious Studies and Theology
Seton Hall Chapter: Alpha Omicron
The Seton Hall chapter of Theta Alpha Kappa (TAK) is hosted and supported by the Department of Religious Studies. TAK's mission is to honor and promote academic excellence in the disciplines of religious and theological studies. Members include undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty.
TAK sponsors a number of social activities and academic events throughout the year. A new-member induction ceremony is held at the end of every spring semester.
TAK membership is open to all students in:
- Religious Studies
- Theology
- Catholic Studies
or in any other field/discipline meeting the following eligibility requirements:
- You must have completed (or are about to complete) at least THREE semesters at Seton Hall University.
- You must have completed (or are about to complete) at least FOUR courses in Religious Studies, Theology, and/or Catholic Studies (with a minimum GPA of 3.5).
- Your overall undergraduate GPA at Seton Hall is at least 3.0.

Pedro Repollet (B.A. in Catholic Theology, Class of 2011) has been elected the new student president of TAK for 2009-2010! Congratulations Pedro!

The Seton Hall chapter plans to network with other TAK societies in the Northern New Jersey/New York City Area, such as St. John's University in Jamaica, Queens.
