Seton Hall University's online Master of Healthcare Administration (MHA) program is a widely recognized graduate degree program for hospital and healthcare management professionals. It is an innovative, student-centered program that uses a cohort model where students progress through the program together as members of a learning team.
Here are some additional reasons why our students have chosen Seton Hall for their graduate education.
- Our MHA courses highlight healthcare topics and current issues.
- Our
professors involve healthcare practitioners on regular basics.
- Our classes
are small, with no more than 15-20 students in each.
- Our 42-credit program
can be completed both on-campus and online in two years.
- Our graduates go
on to work in diverse healthcare positions.
The MHA program's objective is to prepare managers for leadership roles in the healthcare industry by providing an intensive, high-quality, graduate-level educational experience. This is achieved by focusing on six key areas: Understanding the Healthcare Environment, Managing Change, Financial Competencies, Decision Making, and Strategic Leadership and Analysis.
As an online student, you truly get the best of both worlds: a dynamic Web-based learning experience grounded in the 150 year history and tradition of Seton Hall University.
Who Should Apply?
The MHA program draws individuals from varied health service organizations including hospitals, assisted living facilities, managed care organizations, healthcare systems and pharmaceutical companies, in addition to clinical professionals and military personnel. While mid-to-senior level professionals in health care and related fields comprise the larger number of applicants, individuals who are highly motivated and disciplined, and who have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university, are welcome to apply for admissions consideration.
New Learning Teams for March 2012 (LT 32) and September 2012 (LT 33) are now being formed.
Courses and Residencies
This 42-credit program is offered, exclusively, in learning teams. The program also requires three on-campus weekend residency visits, which afford you the opportunity to meet face-to-face with professors and your peers in the program.
Note: The same MHA curriculum is offered on-campus for students who prefer to study in a traditional classroom setting. For more information, click here.
