The Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute Financial Aid Grant

Through a special endowment, the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute is able to provide grants to selected students of Latino/Hispanic heritage. This  grant  is available to currently enrolled undergraduate Seton Hall students for the Fall or Spring semester. Students may only receive the grant once in an academic year.

Eligibility
There are limited numbers of grants than can be awarded each semester; therefore, selection for the award is competitive. To qualify for consideration, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be currently enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student at Seton Hall
  • Must be of Latino/Hispanic descent
  • Must have a minimum of a 2.5 cumulative GPA at Seton Hall
  • Must have a FAFSA form on file with Enrollment Service
  • Must demonstrate participation in at least on of the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute events.

Please complete the application form below and return it to the Joseph A. Unanue Latino Institute (Fahy Hall, Room 246) no later than April 30 for the Fall semester or November 30 for the Spring semester. Late applications will not be considered.

Google Scholarship Program

The Google Scholarship Program is for undergraduate juniors and seniors or graduates studying computer science or computer engineering. This is a great scholarship for graduating seniors in computer science who are thinking about going to graduate school.

Eligibility Requirements:

Students must:

  • come from an Hispanic background
  • maintain a 3.5 GPA
  • be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • reside and attend college full time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • demonstrate financial need
  • be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science or computer engineering.

MasterCard Scholarship Program

The MasterCard Scholarship Program is for students studying business, finance and technology from California, Texas or the greater metropolitan regions of St. Louis, Miami, or New York City.

Eligibility Requirements:

Students must:

  • come from an Hispanic background
  • maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • reside and attend college full time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • demonstrate financial need
  • reside in California, Texas or the greater metropolitan regions of St. Louis, Miami, or New York City
  • be pursuing an undergraduate degree in business, finance, marketing,
  • accounting, technology

Ford Mi Fuerza Program

The Ford Mi Fuerza Program is for all undergraduates!

Eligibility Requirements*

Students must:

  • come from a Hispanic background
  • maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
  • reside and attend college full time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • demonstrate financial need

*preference given to Ford PAS students and Henry Ford Academy students

Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program

The Lockheed Martin Scholarship Program is for all undergraduates!

Eligibility Requirements:

Students must:

  • come from a Hispanic background
  • maintain a 3.0 GPA
  • be a U.S. Citizen
  • reside and attend college full time in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
  • demonstrate financial need
  • students must be pursuing degrees in business, technology, science or engineering

Scholarship Opportunity

Interns who successfully participate in a placement site and complete the leadership institute can compete for scholarships awarded by PSE&G and the Foundation for the Center for Hispanic Policy, Research and Development (CHPRD). Scholarships are payable in two installments covering tuition for the fall and spring semesters immediately following the Internship Program, and are contingent upon academic performance. Interns must maintain a 3.0 GPA and demonstrate financial need.
