Catholic Studies faculty are highly trained and have substantial experience in teaching and research. Each of our faculty displays intellectual vitality and competence in one or more areas of research and teaching. They are dedicated teachers and researchers
who hold the highest academic degrees and are open to the fullness of
Truth in several disciplines. They listen carefully and take to heart
the dialogue between faith and reason and genuinely believe in the human
capacity to advance along the path of Truth. This lofty aspiration of
finding the authentic Truth and putting it into action is the most
precious gift that Catholic Studies faculty can give to our students.
For Catholic Studies faculty, education means to form young people in
all fields of human knowledge; to understand, to encourage and to
support them in the path of human maturation; and to lead them to know
and change themselves and transform the world. Our faculty are active in
research and publication and have won governmental and nongovernmental
awards including Fulbright, National Endowment for the Humanities,
Humboldt Research Grants and other prestigious awards.
