  • For full-time undergraduate and graduate students majoring in business, among other disciplines. U.S. citizenship not required.
  • Award: Range from $2,000 to $8,000.

  • Outstanding minority undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students who aspire to become CPAs.  Undergraduates must have taken at least 6 semester hours in accounting.  Must be a student affiliate member of AICPA.  Criteria: academic record and leadership, financial need.  Minimum GPA: 3.0. For U.S. citizens and permanent residents. 
  • Award: $3,000 per academic year. Recipients may apply to renew for additional years.

  • For liberal arts or other non-accounting majors who have been accepted into or are applying to, but have not yet begun, a graduate program in or related to accounting. Must demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and leadership and aspire to be a CPA.  For U.S. citizens or permanent residents.
  • Award: 10 awards of $5,000.
  • Deadline: April 1, 2012
 
  • For current full-time sophomores pursuing a business-related degree who have a visible or invisible disability (see website for more details).
  • Award: $10,000
  • Deadline: The next application cycle will launch in late winter/early spring 2012.
 
  • Open to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students who are either U.S. citizens or permanent residents, or the holder of a U.S. student visa.  Applicants must have completed at least one semester of coursework, and must be majoring in the field of business.
  • Award: $1,000 for 1st place; $500 for the runner up.
  • Deadline:  March 1st and November 1st every year.
 
  • Once accepted to both the Stillman School and the Leadership Program, students will automatically be considered for the Gerald Buccino Scholarship.
  • Award: Provides up to $5,000.00 per year for four years of undergraduate studies. The awardee will also be given an exciting opportunity to be mentored by Gerald P. Buccino, a prominent business entrepreneur and Seton Hall alumnus.
  • Deadline: Automatically considered when accepted to the Stillman School, and the Leadership Program.

Catholic Relief Services International Development Fellows Program
  • For graduate students who will soon be finishing a degree related to international development or business, or undergraduate students soon to finish their Bachelor's degree who have at least 5 years of experience in management or international development. Applicants must have professional proficiency in French, Spanish, Arabic, or Portuguese and be interested in a future career with Catholic Relief Services.   • Award: Participants receive a stipend, housing, transportation to and from the country to which they are assigned, medical insurance, and more.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was December 7, 2011.

  • High achieving accounting students who are entering their junior or senior year and preparing for a career in accounting.  Minimum GPA: 3.3.
  • Award: One $3,000 award per year to a Seton Hall University student. Administered by the Independent Colleges of NJ.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was March 15, 2011.
 
  • For graduate students in a Master's program preparing for a career in state and local government finance. Must be recommended by academic advisor or dean of graduate program.  For citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada.
  • Award: $10,000.  Scholarship winner is invited to attend the Government Finance Officers Association national conference, where the award is presented.
  • Deadline: February 24, 2012
 
  • Graduate students in MBA, MHA, or related programs who have a strong interest in academic medical centers, financial management, and hospital operations. Must have graduated at start of program.
  • Award: Two year Fellowship program, provides development opportunities that foster the learning of competencies critical to the success of healthcare leaders, an understanding of the structure of Duke University Hospital and Health System, and an appreciation of the complexities of academic medicine.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was September 30, 2011.
 
  • Graduate students in MBA, MHA or related programs who have a strong interest in academic medical centers, financial management, and hospital operations. Must have graduated at start of program.
  • Award: Two year Fellowship program, designed to foster insight into the dynamics of an academic medical center and health system, while allowing for development of individual interests. Fellows gain familiarity with diverse revenue cycle organizational issues throughout the health system and practical administrative experience via involvement in various projects and their rotations.

  • Women who have completed 12 credits towards a graduate degree. Must demonstrate high academic achievement, financial need, clear career goals, and NJ residency. Goal of award: to support the next generation of female executive talent. Requires nomination by dean or director of graduate program.
  • Award: ranges from $2,000 to $5,000.

  • Outstanding juniors, seniors, or graduate students majoring in accounting and preparing for a career in state and local government finance. For citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or Canada. Must be recommended by academic adviser or department chair.
  • Award: $5,000; Winner attends the Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada's annual conference in San Antonio, Texas.

  • For full-time freshmen and sophomores who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents of Hispanic heritage with a minimum 3.30 GPA. Must be majoring in Finance, Accounting, or Economics and complete a FAFSA form.
  • Award: 20 scholarships of $3,200, and the opportunity to apply for a summer internship at Morgan Stanley.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was December 15, 2011.
 
  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents, of color (African American/Black, Asian/Pacific Islander American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaska Native), who are full-time graduate students not graduating before May 2013. Applicants must be working towards a degree in a field with an emphasis in public relations, marketing, or advertising and must have a minimum GPA of 3.2.

  • For U.S. citizens or permanent residents, of color (African American/Black, Asian/Pacific Islander American, Hispanic/Latino or Native American/Alaska Native), who are taking at least 12 undergraduate credits a semester (full-time). Applicants must be majoring in a field with an emphasis on public relations, marketing, or advertising, or must be minoring in communications with desire to pursue a career in public relations, marketing or advertising. Applicants must not be graduating before May 2013. Requires a minimum GPA of 2.75.

National Society of Hispanic MBAs (NSHMBA) Foundation Scholarship
  • For U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents of Hispanic heritage who have either a minimum 3.0 GPA or a minimum GPA of 2.75 plus two years of full-time work experience. Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in a Master's program in business or marketing by the fall 2012 semester.
  • Award: Multiple awards range from $2,500 to $10,000. 
  • Deadline: April 30th, 2012 for online application, with supporting documents due by mail no later than May 2, 2012.

New Jersey Society of CPAs College Scholarship Program
  • For New Jersey residents studying accounting as either a major or concentration who will have completed at least 12 accounting credits by the end of the spring 2012 semester. Open to undergraduate juniors and seniors, and those entering an accounting-related graduate program in fall 2012. Requires a minimum 3.2 GPA.
  • Award: $5,000 in 2012
  • Deadline: Last deadline was January 13, 2012.

  • For graduate students who will be completing their program in either fall 2011 or spring 2012, and who have a clear interest in public service and one to three years of work experience and/or internships in public service, transportation, or related fields.
  • Award: Two-year, fast-track, rotational program offers fellows on-the-job experience in planning, financial, and facility operations functions. Competitive compensation and benefits program including health, dental, life insurance, vacation, holidays, and tuition assistance.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was November 28, 2011.
 
  • High achieving accounting students who are entering their junior or senior year and preparing for a career in accounting.  Must be enrolled in FDU, Monmouth, or Seton Hall.  Minimum GPA: 3.3.
  • Award: Scholarship amounts vary. Administered by the Independent Colleges of NJ.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was May 15, 2011.
 
  • Minority juniors, seniors, and graduate students interested in an internship in the Smithsonian or related departments. Minimum GPA: 3.0. Applicants must demonstrate relevance of internship to academic or career goals.
  • Award: 10 week internship for summer, fall, or spring in a Smithsonian office, museum, or research institute. Stipend of $550 per week.
  • Deadline: Feb. 1 for summer and fall; Oct. 1 for spring every year.
