  • For undergraduates majoring in the performing arts field with a minimum 2.5 GPA. Applicants must exhibit leadership ability and be active in community service.
  • Award: 10 awards of up to $3,000.

  • For full-time undergraduate or graduate students who are of Hispanic heritage and who have a minimum 3.0 GPA.  Applicant must be be majoring in the arts, including but not limited to media, film, performing arts, communications or writing, and must submit the FAFSA form. U.S. citizenship not required.
  • Award: Up to $15,000, meant to assist students in beginning and completing an art project.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was March 31, 2012.
 
  • For U.S. citizens ages 18 - 35 who intend to make art their profession. Applicants must submit samples of their art.
  • Award: Up to $5,000.
  • Deadline: Applications accepted every year from November 1st - February 1st.
 
  • Preference is given to first- and second-year students. Award includes intensive training in museum teaching techniques. Recipient will conduct gallery workshops for groups of New York City day campers in the Cloisters (a medieval European branch museum).
  • Award: Stipend of $2,925.

  • Opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students of a variety of majors. Paid internships at the Met are available on four different tracks: The Summer Mentoring Program for College Juniors, Summer Internship for College Students, Summer Internship for Graduate Students, and Long-term Internships for College and Graduate Students.
  • Award: Stipends range from $3,250 - $25,000 depending on the type and length of internship.
  • Deadline: Last deadline was January 6, 2012.
 
  • Open to freshmen, sophomores, and juniors majoring in a studio arts field. Applicants must submit examples of their work and a short essay. U.S. citizenship not required.
  • Award: Not listed on website.
